Whew!…show season is over for me. It was a rollercoaster Summer! I was in seven shows in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Virginia. Some had only a few days in between…no need to unload the car! Although it was hectic, and at times I felt like I was hanging on by my fingernails, I’m already looking ahead to next year. I had such a fantastic time meeting new clients and visiting with those of you who returned!
It’s also very inspiring to meet so many talented artists and craftsmen. From ceramics to painting, the work at the shows was amazing. Here are some of the stand-outs:

Pottery by Corin Sweeny Deinhart Corin’s work is light and airy, but peacefully grounded in the colors of nature. Her pottery is informed by her international background and training. Corin draws her colors, textures, and forms from her beginning in Guam, to Hawai’i and the U.S., and through Ireland and Italy. We purchased her adorable minis to sprinkle Summer buds through the house. I have items from the Monarch Collection on our Christmas list. You can find her beautiful pottery here: https://www.corinsweenydeinhart.com and on Instagram at @csdhart_ceramics. |

Mary Ann Vessey Mary Ann’s detailed paintings will transport you to a world that is inviting, warm, and whimsical! The deeper you gaze at her work the more details you see. She infuses her work with memories of her time raising her children as well as photographs and recollections of places and people, events and feelings. Mary Ann’s paintings are a joy to have in your collection! We especially loved the seasonal paintings and purchased a Spring mini. It will cheer us on all winter! Thomas Horn Dimensional Art If you love animals, you will love Thomas Horn’s wood carvings. His award winning hyper-realistic birds look like they are ready to take flight with stunning luminescent feathers. After a 23 year career as a jeweler, Thomas married a passion for tropical frogs and other wildlife with the art of carving wood. He quickly began winning awards for his work. The amazing bird carvings are definitely on my aspiration buy list! You can find his work at www.tomhornart.com |

We tried a number of her soaps and candles. The scents are yummy and long lasting. And the lather…luxurious. XRoads Creations - Leather Goods Leatherworker Sharon, along with her partner and apprentice Michelle, are the creative visionaries behind XRoads Creations. They create a wide variety of leather wearables and bags. Sharon’s hand tooling is beautiful and imaginative, and influenced by Western style. We especially liked the repurposed baseball glove wallets and tooled bags. Her tooling designs have an old-school tattoo vibe that feels grounded in tradition and fresh. Both Sharon and Michelle are so personable and we had a great time talking about leather working and their approach to their craft. We purchased a few accessories, and I added this bag to my Christmas list! Find their leather goods here: www.xroadscreations.com . Follow XRoads Creations on Instagram: @xroads_creations |
It was a pleasure to share venues with these talented artisans and so many more! I really appreciate the promoters too…it’s such a huge amount of work to produce a juried show.
I always feel so honored to have my jewelry be part of someone’s life. My goal is that my work should help you remember, reconnect and rejoice in the gifts of God. Things like His love, peace, and joy. These intangible gifts are the things that keep us going and enrich our lives. And I’m here for it!
As for my clients, overall, the Peace Collection was most popular. The designs include sterling silver olive leaves, olive blossoms, and branches with smoky topaz, jade and tiger eye. It was created to remind us of the gift of God’s peace that passes understanding. Between the morning panic, the never-ending to-do list, and the rush hour it’s easy to forget that we have access to peace that passes understanding. Jewelry from this collection is a reminder of the gift of peace that passes understanding. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you." – John 14:27 NLT The most popular pieces from the collection were the Peace Olive Branch Cross, Peace Olive Leaf Dangle Earrings, and the Peace Olive Leaf Hoops.
Clients also chose several one-of-a-kind pieces from the Flowers of the Field Collection. These pieces are reminders that we don’t need to worry because God cares deeply for us and will provide what we need…just like the flowers of the field. “And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won't he more surely care for you?” – Matthew 6:30 NLT Jewelry from this collection includes sterling silver calendula arvensis flowers which are a symbol of joy.
I already miss doing shows and getting to meet you face-to-face. I’ve started submitting my applications for next year and can’t wait to see old and new friends! In the meantime, we can get to know each other online!
Do you attend art shows? Drop your favorites in the comments and maybe I’ll see you there!
